March 15 – Paste Paper Decoration
Rebecca Manthey will lead a workshop on paste paper decoration. In colonial New England, bookbinders often used paste-decorated paper as an inexpensive alternative to marbled paper for book covers and endpapers. Participants will learn how to mix paint and paste, apply it to paper, and create decorative patterns using a variety of combing techniques.
