The LCHA maintains three historic properties in Maine. Visit each of the museums to learn more about American history. Each museum offers a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the buildings and the people who lived there through tours, lectures, demonstrations, and historical reenactments.
The museums are open during the summer season (June to October). Visit the museum detail pages for specific days and hours. For tours outside of these hours or for large group tours, please contact us.
For groups of 10 or more, please contact us in advance so that we can plan to accommodate your group. Because our docents are volunteers, a minimum of 7 days notice is necessary to schedule a tour by appointment.
All of our museums are free to members and active-duty military personnel and their families through the Blue Star Museums program.
